Being a hairdresser has always been and will remain my first and true love. I was born to cut hair.

– Michele Harris

Often after a haircut elsewhere, clients may say, “It was a good haircut, but it wasn’t quite what I wanted.” Michele only cuts hair and is unique in that she will ask you several detailed questions before she cuts your hair. She wants to know everything about your hair – past, present and future.

Michele has been frequently referred to as a “Hair Therapist.” Her distinct approach is to work together with the client to achieve the desired outcome through careful and conscientious communication. When you come in for a haircut with Michele, be prepared to work and communicate your wants, needs and problems with your hair. In fact, she often says, “If you want to relax, go for a massage.”

Unsurprisingly, Michele has a bachelor’s degree in psychology (magna cum laude) and a master’s degree in Counseling. She is also a New York City high school guidance counselor, which allows her to utilize her expert communications skills in both professions.
